Public Relations Assistant
- A one of a kind,
exciting opportunity for the right individual. Aggressive,
growing tourism PR and marketing firm looking for new member
of our team. Michael Patrick Destinations and Communications,
Limited is a highly visible firm working in both domestic
and international tourism marketing arenas. This position involves
building and maintaining relationships with the top echelon of
travel and tourism industry executives and leaders throughout
New England, the US and worldwide.
Duties include: creating and maintaining media lists and
databases of clients and contacts, developing PR strategies,
pitching story-ideas, building effective relationships with the
media, assisting in new client pitches... Web site maintenance
skills are an advantage, but will train. Writing skills a plus,
excellent communications skills a must.
Computer skills and comfort is
an absolute must. Multilingual also an advantage but not a requirement.
We are seeking a bright individual, a quick learner, self-starter,
outgoing, personable and well-organized. Travel opportunities
also exist with this position.
Experience: No specific experience is required, just
come with enthusiasm and the ability to learn marketing, communications
and promotional concepts.
Salary: This is a full time, paid position. Starting
salary is mid- to upper teens. There will be 90-day and annual
review. Flexibility of hours to accommodate class schedules for
continuing education a possibility.
