Christian Kobrow, born in 1976, MPDCs
German trainee, comes to us from Hamburg, Germany. His father,
Hartmut Kobrow, is an editor for ADAC reisemagazin, a
major national German travel publication, inspired his sons
interest in travel and tourism. Christian first visited New England
in 1997, when he spent the summer on Cape Cod and, during that
period, fell in love with the Cape and developed a strong interest
in tourism marketing and public relations. In late autumn 1997,
Christian returned to Germany for two years to complete his social
service and, during this period, worked in an advertising agency
handling ad production, for a filmproduction company, and, later,
worked for a travel publication securing images from featured
destinations. This was invaluable experience in production and
pre-press work.
In January 2000, Christian was granted
a business visa to return to Cape Cod on an MPDC work-study
program for 18 months. His experience in the use of complex computer
software, such as Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Illustrator
and Adobe Photoshop and Adobe PageMill, graphic
design and layout, production and pre-press, multilingual abilities
(English-German) and his excellent writing skills make him a
tremendous asset to MPDC. Christian, as a native German,
is able to effectively interpret customs and language highly
effectively cross-culturally a tremendous asset for MPDCs
work in Germany. Christian is also responsible for the firms
image bank, dissemination of press kits, German-English translations
and interfacing with the German press and partners. During Spring
2000, Christian accompanied Bayerischer Rundfunk (Bavarian
Broadcasting) on a week-long New England video shoot arranged
by MPDC for its clients and the New England region.
He is also charged with the development
and maintenance of MPDCs website, www.mpdcltd.com.
Christian has two brothers and one sister in Hamburg and currently
lives in the Cummaquid section of Barnstable. |
